The Democracy Index in an index compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), that measures the state of democracy in 167 countries. The index is based on 60 indicators in total. A score of 8,01 and higher signals a ‘full democracy’, a score of 6,01 – 8,01 a flawed democracy, 4,01 – 6,0 a hybrid regime and lower than 4,0 an authoritarian regime.
