GDP per capita is total GDP divided by the (midyear) population of a country. GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is the sum of gross value added, measured at constant prices, by households, government, and industries operating in the economy. Note that GDP accounts for all domestic production, regardless of whether the income accrues to domestic or foreign institutions. The data is published annually by the World Bank, and shown here in USD.
