The Press Freedom Index is an annual ranking of countries based on the countries’ press freedom in the previous year. The data is based on a questionnaire around topics like pluralism, media independence, and censorship. Specific countries may be excluded if the data is not reliable. Note that a lower score is better. The Press Freedom Index is published annually by Reporters Without Borders (Reporters Sans Frontieres).
