Recycling Rate of Municipal Waste, %

The recycling rate is the tonnage recycled from waste divided by the total waste arising per municipality, shown in %. The waste is generated to a large extent by households, but may also include similar wastes generated by small businesses and public institutions and collected. The World Economic Forum expects people to produce 1,42 kg of municipal solid waste (MSW) per day per person by 2025, more than doubling the current average of 0,64kg.
