Electricity production from renewable sources, excluding hydroelectric sources, as a % of total energy production. Renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished at a faster rate than they are consumed. Solar, wind, geothermal and some forms of biomass are common sources of renewable energy. Hydro electric is excluded in this category. The data is published annually by IEA Statistics and the World Bank.
