Secondary Gross Enrollment Rate (GER) refers to the number of students enrolled in secondary education, regardless of age, as a percentage of the population of theoretical school age for secondary school.The data is slightly different from Net Enrollment Rate (NER), in that it includes students that whose age exceeds the official age group. The data is published annually by UNESCO and the World Bank.
